van Gogh's The Sunflowers

This week, we are delivering sunflowers and yellow oriental lilies. The seasonal $20 bunch fills a large vase with colour. Although not part of the post-impressionist display featured recently at the National Gallery, they were the subject of one of Van Gogh's signature pieces. A story from the recent exhibition was how each week, friends of Van Gogh would give him flowers so he could use them in his still life paintings. Their simple shapes are so paintable, we hope they inspire some artistry this week.
