"In the other gardens, and all up the vale,
From the autumn bonfires, see the smoke trail!
Pleasant summer over, and all the summer flowers,
The red fire blazes, the grey smoke towers.
Sing a song of seasons! something bright in all,
Flowers in the summer, fires in the fall! "
- Robert Louis Stevenson, Autumn Fires
With the warm late summer (start of autumn) weather, the Smokey Joe protea are in season. Their creamy white and brown feathers make a classic and tactile display and the bunch will fill a tall cylinder vase. It is also possible from the 8 stems to steal a single flower for a bath or bedroom.
Protea are thirsty so be sure to keep an eye on the vase and regularly freshen the water. Unlike other flowers, they like strong light as it slows leaf blackening however they do prefer a cool position. We hope they bring some cool chic to your home this week.
Spray roses are a cluster of petite roses. While they may be smaller in size, they have the ability to make an impressive statement.
