Snip Snap

Here he comes with flaming bowl,
Don't he mean to take his toll,
Snip! Snap! Dragon
Chant to accompany the game, Snapdragon

Snapdragons in all colours are coming into bloom as the weather turns cooler so we are offering large bunches of them as our seasonal bunch this week. Their long spikes of bright flowers are truly beautiful as their distinctive shape fill a vase with life. Children love them because they can squeeze open the flowers like a dragon’s mouth.

This week's $25 classic selection is a bunch of long-stemmed Oriental lilies.

Tulips are one of those iconic flowers – a favourite of many people and through history, a coveted luxury item.  At one point in the mid 1600’s, their popularity and demand was so great, the bulbs were traded as a currency sparking off their own horticultural GFC. They are still the second most popular flower currently traded on the Dutch flower auction system. Brightly coloured tulips are available this week as a $40 bunch as they are also lovers of the colder weather.
