Follow the Star

With a name like “star of Bethlehem” it had to be the seasonal choice for this week. These long green spikes that look like sheafs of wheat are truly giving as they open up with masses of white flowers through the week. In the heat, they cope well but like all flowers, re cutting the stems when they first go in the vase and fresh water every couple of days with a re cut allows you to get the best from your flowers. For an all-white week, there are white Oriental lilies as the $30 bunch and large bunches of white spray roses as the $40 selection.
As the Christmas decorations come out this week, if you would like some fresh green and red in your homes, I am putting together mixes of cypress, spruce, leucodendrum (native with small pine cones) and berries. Available to order as $20 bunches, it will be the best of what I come across each week.
If you would like some Christmas white or greenery in your home this week, just email requests through to info@fridayflowers.com.au.
